ALBERT KREUZ  - business underwear – not only a new brand

ALBERT KREUZ: men’s business underwear – since launching the online shop in november 2008 the small company experienced a significant growth.

The founder, Mr. Uwe Schmidt, a former insurance employee and typical businessman who dressed in a formal jacket, dress shirt and tie every day, discovered that something is missing in the whole market with its various different types of men’s underwear: underwear especially tailored for the needs of businessmen. Lots of manufacturers offer undershirts, briefs and shorts in every imaginable form, but the real business underwear was missing. Every time Mr. Schmidt was looking for the perfectly fitting underwear, some detail was missing.

That’s why he decided to create his own undershirt:

Idea, foundation, design of the first business undershirt – search for high quality fabrics and a German manufacturing company – completion and testing of the first handmade business undershirt. Here we are: The new brand is born and the first ALBERT KREUZ men’s business undershirt is sold in the German online shop of ALBERT KREUZ www.albert-kreuz.de.

But what is the difference between a normal undershirt and a business undershirt?

The close-fitting cut, the design of the neckline and other special details make the undershirt nearly “invisible” under a business dress shirt – it almost feels llike a second skin. No ugly underwear lines shine through the dress shirt. The cut of the business undershirt is extra-long, so that it stays tucked in even during a very “emotional” meeting. The cut of the sleeves and the seams are adapted to those of common dress shirts and are therefore covered by the shirt. Thanks to the special v-neck, the dress shirt can be worn with the top button open at the collar - the neckline of the undershirt will be invisible! The founder of ALBERT KREUZ added also other little details – like putting the tags in a place where they don't cause disturbance. At the beginning the founder was not yet convinced whether his new products would be be accepted in the internet-market-place – but the surprise came immediately:

People started to buy, test and recommend ALBERT KREUZ business undershirts. It almost seemed to be a “secret tip” – whoever got the information about the new brand seemed to be privileged. More and more orders arrived and the small company started to grow.

Together with the orders new ideas arrived. ALBERT KREUZ customers are not anonymous “buyers”, instead they are actively providing feedback about the products, about what else they need and what they think is missing. With their ideas ALBERT KREUZ realized a lot of changes and innovations. Yes, customers are happy with the inventions of ALBERT KREUZ. It seems as if these kind of products were simply missing in the underwear market.

After the owner Uwe Schmidt invented the first “invisible undershirt” in the classic white color in 2008, ALBERT KREUZ really started a revolution:

Nude/beige color underwear for men! Who dared to think about it before? For years this color was exclusively used for the women's underwear market but now it is here: the first invisible nude/beige undershirt for men!

After this invention new undershirts with deep v-neck were added to the range of products. A deep v-neck provides the possibility to wear a dress shirt with up to 2 buttons open at the collar. In addition, ALBERT KREUZ boxer briefs, shorts, trunks and briefs are extremely comfortable and are nearly “invisible” under pants.

After the launch of men’s boxer briefs, shorts and briefs, ALBERT KREUZ also added business socks and knee-high socks to its range of products, both with different functions and in the finest quality. The special feature of these items: shorts and business socks come in the same colors so that red boxer briefs can be combined with knee-high dress socks in the same color. This is “really stylish” for men!

But ALBERT KREUZ does not stop at underwear… As the brand's underwear is particularly created for the perfect businessman, it is obvious that more dress codes must be considered.

But no… At the end of 2010 the company started to expand into international markets by launching the online shops www.albert-kreuz.it for Italy and www.albert-kreuz.com for international buyers and the first orders started to come in from abroad. In 2017 the French online shop www.albert-kreuz.fr went online.

The headquarters are located in Teltow, south of Berlin, Germany. Together with its loyal customers ALBERT KREUZ is looking forward to further fascinating business expansions in the future.   

From the beginning on ALBERT KREUZ focused on high quality and tradition and thereby on the protection of the environment and fair working conditions: short transport, durable high-quality products, high-tech fibres with a positive eco-balance as an alternative to classic cotton. All products are made in traditional manufacturing facilites in Germany and Portugal.
