A functional fabric provided by nature: Merino wool with an ultra-fine fiber thickness of less than 16 microns combined with TENCEL ™ Lyocell, known for natural comfort and an environmentally conscious production process with a closed cycle. TENCEL™ Lyocell stands for efficient moisture management and gives the skin a cool and dry feeling - day and night.
 
This results in a short sleeve shirt of outstanding fineness which also fulfills all requirements for feel-good underwear with thermoregulatory and odor-repellent properties. Thanks to the TENCEL™ Lyocell content, the fiber is more robust than pure merino wool and therefore more durable.

Moisture is absorbed inside the fiber, while the surface repels water. The fiber can absorb up to a third of its dry weight in water without feeling damp. At the same time, the ultra-fine wool fibers wick away moisture to the outside - much faster than i.e. cotton. Therefore the fabric offers exceptionally good breathability in conjunction with moisture regulation. The skin stays dry and the undershirt does not feel damp. Plus, the outer clothing is protected from sweat stains because moisture - in the form of water vapor - is released to the outside.

In addition, wool is an excellent thermal insulator. Who does not remember grandmothers’ recommendation to wear wool underwear in winter? Today we know that a wool undershirt with its thermoregulatory properties is a functional undershirt and can be worn all year round. It is warming in winter and cooling in summer. At the same time, it is ultra-light and barely felt on the skin.

The fiber mix hardly absorbs dirt and odors and has a natural self-cleaning function. The few absorbed smells are released into the air. After just hanging in fresh air for a short time the undershirt has a neutral smell again. Therefore a Merino-TENCEL™ Lyocell undershirt can be worn over a long, active day while providing hygienic and safe protection. Not only suitable for business but especially also as an intermediate layer for outdoor sports. A must for hikers, as it can be worn for several days without washing. For the sake of the environment, unnecessary wash cycles and detergents can be avoided.
